Job Description

  • Provides care for all age groups.
  • Services provided include, but are not limited to:
  • Examination of patients for all Ophthalmological conditions/diseases
  • Screening and management of glaucoma
  • Screening & management of diabetic retinopathy
  • Treatment of corneal infections & corneal diseases like keratoconus
  • Cataract diagnosis
  • Diagnosis of different retinal diseases
  • Refractive consultation
  • Laser photo coagulation of different conditions of the retina
  • Diagnosis & management of Squint
  • Diagnosis of anterior chamber and posterior chamber diseases
  • Diagnosis of refractory errors and their treatment. Inflammatory conditions of the eye.
  • Diagnosis of field defects
  • Diagnosis of squints and their treatment
  • Treatment of injuries etc.

Job Skills

  • MBBS or MBChB or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution 
  • Completion of specialty qualification as per the Recognized Specialty Certificate table
