Job Description

  • Provide comprehensive consultation services to patients with dermatologic conditions, primarily in the outpatient department.

  • Perform daily evaluations and management of patients with skin diseases in the Dermatology outpatient clinic.

  • Offer consultation services to inpatients and admit patients requiring hospitalization for dermatologic care.

  • Assume full responsibility for the management of inpatients with dermatologic conditions under their care.

  • Provide on-call emergency coverage for dermatologic emergencies as scheduled.

  • Perform a wide range of dermatologic procedures, including but not limited to:

    • Phototherapy

    • Cosmetic dermatologic procedures

    • Laser therapy

    • Skin biopsy

    • Cryosurgery

    • Electrocautery

    • Chemical peeling

    • Curettage

    • Excision of skin lesions

  • Plan and manage departmental work schedules, including regular duties, leave coverage, holidays, weekends, and emergency call rotations.

  • Actively participate in hospital committees and contribute to institutional development.

  • Attend and contribute to monthly hospital and departmental meetings.

Job Skills

  • Education and Training:

    • Graduation from an accredited medical school, followed by the completion of a rotating internship.

    • Three (3) years of residency in Dermatology, culminating in the acquisition of a Postgraduate Master’s degree and/or equivalent Fellowship programs approved by the Department of Health (DOH).

  • Licensure:

    • Must hold a valid Department of Health (DOH) license to practice as a Dermatologist in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

  • Experience:

    • A minimum of three (3) years of exclusive practice in Dermatology following board certification or equivalent.

  • Language Proficiency:

    • Proficiency in English is essential for preparing documentation and for effective communication with patients, co-workers, and medical staff of diverse nationalities.

    • Basic knowledge of medical Arabic is desirable but not essential.

  • Ethical Standards:

    • Must have a comprehensive understanding of medical ethics, with a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of professional conduct.
