Physiotherapist

Job Description

• Perform duties in alignment with the philosophy, business practices, and policies of NMCSH-Dubai, adhering to the standards and ethics of the Physiotherapy profession.

• Work with patients to identify physical problems and develop effective treatment programs.

• Assist patients with joint and spinal issues, particularly following surgery.

• Support patients' rehabilitation after accidents, injuries, or strokes.

• Write accurate patient case notes and reports to document treatment progress and outcomes.

• Collect patient statistics for evaluation and reporting purposes.

• Educate and advise patients and their carers on preventing or improving conditions.

• Collaborate as a professional member of a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team, actively participating in team meetings.

• Communicate effectively with staff members, health professionals, clients, and families regarding physiotherapy services.

• Contribute to education programs for residents, relatives, and staff to improve awareness and understanding of physiotherapy.

• Participate in continuing education to stay updated on the latest physiotherapy techniques and practices.

• Ensure physiotherapy equipment is properly maintained and liaise with the Head of Department (HOD) for the ordering of supplies and equipment.

• Ensure that physiotherapy treatments are based on sound evidence of benefit and best practices.

• Record and report all adverse clinical events to maintain patient safety and improve care quality.

• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.

• Assist in the ongoing maintenance of a safe workplace through the implementation of safe systems of work.

• Identify and report hazards in the workplace to promote safety and minimize risks.

• Participate in the NMCSH Quality Management System, including auditing, surveys, and needs analysis, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Perform any other duties as directed by the HOD or Medical Director.
