Job Description

•  
• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of healthcare errors.
• Provides direct care and related duties in NMC Provita and maintains current knowledge of nursingpractice and standards
• Plans, implements and evaluates nursing care given to assigned in an effective and organized manner
• Provides for the physical,psychological and social needs of the patient and families
• Is familiar with, and understands, the Severe Care Domains of DOH
• Communicates with a range of people on a range of matters.
• Communicates appropriately and clearly to Charge Nurse, Shift in Charge, coworkers and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Consult with other departments as appropriate to provide a multidisciplinary approach to the patient’s needs.
• Communicates the mission, vision and valuesof the facility.
• Develops own skills and knowledge and provides information to others to help their development.
• Recognizes the necessity to continuously developskills and acquire additional knowledge appropriate to the position.
• Attends training sessions offeredby NMC ProVita, and upholdsprofessional portfolio and 20 CME per year as requiredfor licensure.
• Dresses appropriately to the expectations of the specific work areasand Occupational Healthand Safety Policy.
• Contributes to the improvement of services.
• Evaluates own and others’work when needed.
• Makes suggestions to improveservices.
