Job Description

• Assess patients to identify physical problems and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment programs.
• Assist patients with joint and spinal conditions, particularly following surgery.
• Support patient rehabilitation following accidents, injuries, and strokes.
• Supervise and guide Physiotherapy Assistants and Aides.
• Maintain accurate patient case notes, reports, and statistics.
• Educate and advise patients and caregivers on prevention and management of conditions.
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team and actively participate in team meetings.
• Communicate effectively with staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and families regarding physiotherapy services.
• Contribute to and participate in educational programs for residents, relatives, and staff at NMCSH.
• Participate in continuing education programs and professional development activities to stay updated with physiotherapy techniques and advancements.
• Ensure physiotherapy equipment is properly maintained and coordinate with the Head of Department (HOD) for ordering supplies and equipment.
• Ensure all physiotherapy treatments are evidence-based and aligned with best clinical practices.
• Record and report all adverse clinical events in accordance with hospital policies.
• Maintain a safe and professional working environment at all times.
• Assist in the ongoing maintenance and improvement of quality standards within the department.
