Job Description

• Professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of own work and to ensure a high standard of clinical care for patients under own care and support other team members to do likewise.
• Undertake a comprehensive, highly specialist physiotherapy assessment of patients including those with the most complex presentation, using advanced investigative and analytical skills.
• Select appropriate treatment techniques, this may include facilitation of normal movement, therapeutic handling, gait re-education, chest physiotherapy, etc.
• Use advanced clinical reasoning and a wide range of treatment skills and options to formulate individual management and specialist treatment plans, in agreement with the patient where appropriate. 
• Review and evaluate patient’s condition at each physiotherapy session and to amend the treatment programme as necessary to achieve planned objectives.
• Work with members of the multi-disciplinary team, to ensure optimal outcomes for the patient.
• Consolidate and maintain highly specialist skills in relation to assessment and treatment of specialty area.
