Job Description

  • Provide comprehensive and diligent orthopedic care to all assigned patients, including pre-operative, operative, and post-operative care, and perform orthopedic procedures within the scope of expertise.

  • Deliver outpatient orthopedic care in the OPD, ensuring effective treatment and management of patients.

  • Offer consultation services to physicians, surgeons, and other specialists regarding in-patient or out-patient orthopedic cases when needed.

  • Assume responsibility for the care of orthopedic patients after hours, making daily rounds for hospitalized cases.

  • Refer patients to other specialists or seek consultations when cases exceed personal skill or experience.

  • Adhere to the Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations of the medical department, ensuring all work is aligned with the standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

  • Collaborate with anesthetists to determine the most appropriate anesthesia for procedures.

  • Maintain complete and accurate medical records for all assigned cases, ensuring proper documentation of patient care.

  • Stay informed about the latest developments and advancements in the field of orthopedics to continually enhance care and treatment methods.

Job Skills

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school, followed by one year of internship and three years of residency training in Orthopedic Medicine.

  • Certification by the American Board of Orthopedic Medicine or Membership in the Royal College of Orthopedic Surgeons (or its equivalent).

  • At least three (3) years of practice limited to Orthopedic Medicine since certification, with a minimum of two (2) years as a licensed specialist.

  • Excellent command of both oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic is desirable but not essential.

  • Must possess advanced skills in Orthopedic practice, with mature clinical judgment and the ability to provide professional leadership.
