Job Description

  • Provide comprehensive and attentive orthopedic care to all assigned patients, including pre- and post-operative management and performing orthopedic procedures within the scope of professional competence.

  • Deliver outpatient orthopedic services in the designated Outpatient Department (OPD).

  • Offer consultation services to fellow physicians, surgeons, and specialists for both inpatients and outpatients, as required.

  • Take after-hours responsibility for the care of hospitalized orthopedic cases, including daily patient rounds.

  • Refer cases beyond personal expertise to appropriate specialists and collaborate with them when needed.

  • Adhere to the medical department’s Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations, ensuring all practices align with Joint Commission Accreditation standards.

  • Collaborate with anesthetists to determine appropriate anesthesia for surgical procedures.

  • Maintain accurate, thorough, and up-to-date records for all assigned cases.

  • Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in orthopedic medicine.

  • Evaluate and determine the appropriateness of surgical and related procedures, and assess when to implement new techniques or approaches.

Job Skills

  • Work in all shifts as scheduled by Head of the department.
  • Monitors clinical and other established indicators to ensure ongoing quality assurance.
  • Strictly adheres to organization’s regulations and policies especially those related to infection control, patient
  • safety, OSHAD, HAAD, JCI and ISO.
  • Supports Continuous Quality Improvement and participates and contributes to all the quality assurance
  • activities of the service.
  • Participates and contributes in scheduled in-service training programs like BLS, CNEs, CMEs, In house activities,
  • conferences or other programs as requested.
  • Exercises effective interpersonal skills in dealings with department staff, associates and Management.
