Job Description

  • Responsible for providing comprehensive patient care within the scope of specialty and practice.
  • Where applicable, oversee and support the professional development of medical staff.
  • Contribute to the educational activities for the Medical Staff as a whole.
  • Participate in review and planning activities related to the development of the Specialty Service and Medical Centre.
  • Promote the Specialty Service and Medical Centre to the public and the wider medical community within the Emirate and the UAE.
  • Fulfill professional requirements for continuous development and maintenance of competence in all aspects of the specialty.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, doctors, and other medical centre staff.
  • Collaborate with other doctors as part of a team and adhere strictly to internal referral policies.
  • Ensure all patients (appointments and walk-ins) are consulted until the end of your duty hours; no patient should be rejected or referred without proper consultation and documentation.
  • Medicine samples must not be stored, distributed, or promoted within the consultation room in compliance with MOH rules and regulations.
  • Only consult registered patients; advise any bystanders to follow the registration process for consultations. No consultation shall take place without proper patient registration.

Job Skills

  • ENT specialists must be skilled in diagnosing and treating disorders of the ear, nose, and throat, performing surgeries, and providing non-surgical treatments for a variety of conditions.

  • Essential soft skills include strong communication, problem-solving, empathy, and the ability to work under pressure in a clinical setting.

  • Additionally, ENT specialists should be proficient in patient assessment, treatment planning, medical documentation, and staying up-to-date with advancements in the field.
