Job Description

• Implement action plans to promote person centred care in your area.

Assessment and Treatment Planning:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' respiratory conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans based on assessment findings.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications as prescribed by physicians.

Patient Education:

• Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatment options, and self-management techniques.
• Demonstrate proper use of respiratory equipment and devices.

Collaboration and Documentation:

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and case conferences to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting interventions and progress.

Emergency Response:

• Respond to emergency situations, providing immediate respiratory support.
• Collaborate with the emergency response team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Equipment Management and Quality Assurance:

• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Adhere to established clinical protocols and guidelines to maintain high-quality patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.

Reporting

• Ensure preparation of reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet the departmental requirements, policies, and standards.

Related Assignment

• Perform other related duties or assignments as directed by HOD
• Participate in hospital committee, task-force meetings and other meetings as required.
