Job Description

  • Coordinate and deliver patient care while providing education and emotional support to patients and families.
  • Assess patient needs, implement medical plans, and monitor treatments in collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Perform systematic patient assessments, analyze data, and identify nursing diagnoses and care priorities.
  • Develop, evaluate, and update individualized care plans with interdisciplinary teams and patients' families.
  • Record and monitor vital signs, escalating abnormalities as needed, and maintain technical and clinical skills.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments, observing for and addressing side effects or reactions.
  • Provide wound care and assist in invasive and non-invasive medical procedures.
  • Perform essential life support (BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP) and prepare patients for examinations or treatments.
  • Promote patient health, ensure a safe environment, and facilitate smooth admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Understand diagnostic tests, laboratory results, and employ evidence-based strategies for optimal patient care.

Job Skills

  • Have an appropriate license to work as a registered nurse in the relevant regulatory health authority with all the qualifications and experience these mandates.
  • Manage their own professional re-licensure.
  • Hold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card. 
  • Be willing to work across departments when necessary. 
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English (spoken and written)
