Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

• Provide and coordinate patient care while educating patients and the public about various health conditions. Offer advice and emotional support to patients and their families.

• Assess and identify patients' needs, implement medical care plans, and monitor treatments. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians and allied health professionals, across various clinical settings.

• Conduct systematic patient assessments and gather comprehensive health data.

• Analyze assessment data to understand patient conditions.

• Identify actual and potential nursing diagnoses, problems, and care issues.

• Establish expected outcomes for patient care and participate in care planning.

• Create, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the medical team.

• Monitor and record patients' vital signs, identifying and addressing any abnormalities.

• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to develop and revise care plans.

• Maintain and continually update clinical and technical nursing skills to align with best practices.

• Promote health and safety by employing appropriate strategies and interventions.

• Interpret and understand diagnostic tests and laboratory results relevant to patient care.

• Perform Basic Life Support (BLS) and other essential emergency care interventions.

• Prepare patients for medical examinations and procedures.

• Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.

• Provide treatments such as IV fluids and blood products, observing for adverse reactions.

• Manage wound care and dressing changes effectively.
