Registered Nurse - Dermatology OPD

Job Description

• Collects patient status information from various sources using assessment skills, including observation, communication, and physical assessment.

• Completes the nursing portion of the history and physical form for all assigned patients upon entry to the Outpatient department.

• Completes the vital signs and pain assessment forms for every visit, signing and documenting all patient interactions in the progress notes.

• Plans the necessary care for each patient during the Outpatient visit.

• Sets priorities when planning and carrying out doctor’s orders and patient care.

• Initiates prompt nursing interventions based on changes in patient condition, age, and circumstances, when necessary.

• Is proficient and knowledgeable in the use of specific equipment within the assigned department.

• Develops as a clinical expert within the Outpatient department.

• Ensures timely and accurate documentation of patient records in accordance with CosmeSurge standards and policies.

• Anticipates, recognizes, and manages emergencies and unsafe situations or practices, initiating appropriate and timely interventions.

• Influences and facilitates departmental change to improve standards of care.

• Performs all duties in a professional and confidential manner.
