Work as a professional member of a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team and actively participate in team meetings.

Communicate effectively with staff members, health professionals, clients, and families regarding the provision of physiotherapy services.

Supervise and instruct Physiotherapy Aides in their duties.

Contribute to and participate in educational programs for residents, relatives, and staff of NMCRH-KC.

Participate in continuing education and courses to update physiotherapy techniques and knowledge.

Ensure physiotherapy equipment is adequately maintained and liaise with the Head of Department (HOD) for the ordering of supplies and equipment.

Ensure physiotherapy treatments are based on sound, evidence-based practices.

Ensure that all adverse clinical events are recorded and reported appropriately.

Maintain a safe working environment at all times.

Assist in the ongoing maintenance of a safe workplace through involvement in the implementation of safe systems of work.

Identify and report workplace hazards promptly.

Participate in the NMCRH-KC Quality Management System and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement activities, including audits, surveys, and needs analyses.

Perform other duties as directed by the Head of Department or the Medical Director.

Comply with all Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and infection control policies, standards, and procedures, and cooperate with hospital management to meet these requirements.

Work in accordance with documented OSH procedures and specific responsibilities.

Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.

Report OSH hazards, incidents, near misses, and issues, and assist with the preparation of risk assessments and incident reports.

Comply with waste management procedures and policies.

Attend applicable OSH/infection control training programs, mock drills, and awareness programs.

Use appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.
