Job Description

  • Diagnose and manage autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders in children, such as juvenile idiopathic arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, and other rheumatic diseases

  • Conduct detailed patient evaluations, including physical exams, lab testing, imaging, and medical history review

  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans involving medications, therapies, and lifestyle adjustments

  • Monitor disease progression and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes

  • Collaborate with pediatricians, physical therapists, immunologists, and other healthcare professionals

  • Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication adherence, and coping strategies

  • Perform joint injections or other minor procedures as needed for treatment

  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records, documentation, and follow-up plans

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in pediatric rheumatology

  • Participate in academic, training, and outreach programs to raise awareness of pediatric rheumatic diseases

Job Skills

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution

  • Completed residency in Pediatrics

  • Fellowship in Pediatric Rheumatology from an accredited program

  • Valid medical license in the country/region of practice

  • Board certification in Pediatric Rheumatology (or eligibility)

  • Minimum 2–5 years of clinical experience (may vary depending on position)
