Patient Relations Officer

Job Description

• Handles the console and transfers and attends to telephone calls and enquiries.
• Take appointments for doctors and schedules patients.
• Take appointments for doctors and schedules patients.
• If old patient, asks for his/her pt. ID and calls for his/her file in the MRD.
• Liaisons with the Department of HIM for patient files.
• Processes bills (if assigned) and assists the customers with the relevant information.
• Co-ordinate with insurance, billing, admissions, and discharge departments.
• Acts as a link between the physicians and patients.
• Collect reports from different departments.
• Updates all customers with the required information or status.
• Records all customer feedback and updates the supervisor.
• Maintains a congenial work environment for customer satisfaction.
• Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality in maintaining critical and sensitive information, records, and reports.
• Actively participate in the Hospital/Medical Center’s ongoing Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Programs and other In-Service Training Programs.
• Participate in Hospital/Medical Center quality program and be a member of quality committees if chosen.
• Act as a translator if needed.
• Performs any other jobs assigned by the superior as per exigencies of work.
• Perform other duties and tasks assigned by the Head of Department as per the scope of the job.
