Greet patients, direct them to the appropriate departments, and provide routine information about the hospital as needed.

Handle telephone inquiries from patients and relay messages to the respective doctor or nurse for callbacks.

Manage appointments, including handling no-shows, rescheduling patients, and confirming bookings.

Register new patients and ensure that the records of current patients are accurate and up to date.

Provide patients with information regarding medical insurance coverage and collect payments or co-payments based on insurance eligibility.

Issue claim forms to patients requesting reimbursement.

Facilitate daily cash collection, including credit card slips and cheque deposits, ensuring accurate and timely processing at the designated location within the hospital premises, in adherence to financial protocols.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Hospital Information System, clinic schedules, appointment durations, doctors’ duty rosters, and procedures for booking appointments.

Perform duties related to patient handling, telephone calls, cash management, and back-office work as assigned in the duty roster.

Check emails daily and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.

Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with the hospital’s policies and procedures.

Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as required and maintain a safe, clean reception area in compliance with established procedures, rules, and regulations.

Participate actively in hospital training programs.

Handle patient complaints in a structured, timely, and professional manner that is courteous, respectful of privacy, and aimed at identifying and resolving issues to continuously improve departmental services.

Follow the duty schedule assigned by the team leader or supervisor, including shifts based on departmental needs.

Strictly adhere to NMC regulations and hospital policies, particularly those related to infection control, patient safety, and JCI standards.

Support continuous quality improvement by participating in and contributing to quality assurance activities within the department.

Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills in interactions with staff, colleagues, and management.

Maintain confidentiality of patient and staff information at all times.
