Occupational Therapist

Job Description

• Undertake duties in accordance with professional standards, ethical guidelines, and organizational policies and procedures.

• Function as an active and professional member of a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team, contributing effectively during team meetings.

• Communicate effectively with staff members, health professionals, clients, and families regarding the provision of services.

• Contribute to and participate in educational programs for residents, relatives, and staff.

• Engage in continuing education and training to stay updated on occupational therapy techniques and developments.

• Ensure that all adverse clinical events are accurately recorded and reported.

• Assist in maintaining a safe work environment by supporting the implementation of safe systems of work.

• Identify and report hazards within the workplace to support health and safety.

• Ensure that all therapists in the team analyze assessments and risk factors to determine therapy aims and treatment goals. Develop intervention plans collaboratively with clients, caregivers, team members, and relevant agencies to reduce disability and promote independence.

• In collaboration with clients and caregivers, identify and select the most appropriate intervention, considering risk, safety, client choice, independence, conflicts, service eligibility, and cost-effectiveness.
