Occupational Therapist

Job Description

• Evaluate and treat patients of all ages with:

  • Speech and language disorders

  • Cognitive-communicative difficulties

  • Voice and swallowing disorders

• Deliver clinical governance responsibilities, including:

  • Contributing to service development

  • Setting priorities in collaboration with the line manager

• Provide specialized Occupational Therapy interventions for:

  • Adult and pediatric patients

  • Chronic, complex, and specialist rehabilitation cases

  • Home care settings

• Independently manage a caseload of patients with complex needs by:

  • Applying evidence-based and client-centered practices

  • Conducting assessments, care planning, treatment, and evaluations

• Demonstrate high-level clinical skills, including:

  • Advanced clinical reasoning

  • Independent decision-making

  • Problem-solving in complex clinical situations

• Supervise and support junior staff, including:

  • Regular supervision sessions

  • Conducting performance management appraisals

• Undertake duties of an Occupational Therapist as defined by:

  • Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD)

  • Adhering strictly to the scope of practice outlined by HAAD

• Maintain professional accountability as a:

  • Responsible and autonomous practitioner

  • Recognized healthcare professional within NMCRH-KC
