Job Description

• Patient Care: Provide direct care to patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and support throughout their treatment.

• Assessment: Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ physical and mental health, documenting changes and observations.

• Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and medical diagnoses.

• Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for side effects and ensuring proper dosage.

• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle changes.

• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.

• Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of illness and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies, providing first aid and stabilizing patients as needed.

• Advocacy: Serve as a patient advocate, addressing concerns and ensuring that patients’ rights and preferences are respected.

• Training and Supervision: Mentor and support junior nursing staff and students, fostering a positive learning environment.

• Continuous Education: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with nursing practices, technologies, and healthcare trends.
