Perform essential life support as per regulatory requirements and scope such as but not limited to Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation etc.

Participate in the development of standards, procedures and protocols.

Facilitate evidence-based practice.

Promote change in nursing practice when required.

Take a proactive role under the guidance of Nursing Management/Nursing Education in training, education and CQI activities of nursing staff.

Perform other professional duties as may be assigned within his/her scope and ability.

Triages patients of all ages, including Pediatric, adult, and pregnant patients. Collects current symptoms and a detailed medical history to determine the appropriate triage level and ensure timely and accurate care based on the patient's condition

Assists with emergency procedures such as endotracheal intubation, insertion of central venous and arterial catheters, intercostal drain placement, and intraosseous needle insertion.

Administers emergency medications and performs Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) interventions, including defibrillation, cardioversion, and medication administration, to stabilize patients with life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias or acute myocardial infarctions.

Collaborates with emergency physicians, trauma surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans, coordinate diagnostic tests and imaging studies, and facilitate timely patient disposition and admission to appropriate hospital units or specialty services.

Operates and monitors emergency medical equipment to support patient care and ensure accurate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
