Job Description

  • Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nursing Staff, will deliver patient care and service which is safe and timely.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and escalate accordingly reflective of the chain of command.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned within his/her scope and ability.
  • Support the escort of patients within the OPD setting.
  • Support patients with new appointment bookings and other clerical tasks within the OPD setting.
  • Transport patient specimens to the lab

Job Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent is typically required, along with specialized training or certification in healthcare assistance.

  • Healthcare Assistants must be skilled in supporting patients with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and assisting in basic medical procedures under the supervision of healthcare professionals.

  • Essential soft skills include strong communication, empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.

  • Additionally, Healthcare Assistants should be proficient in maintaining patient records, following care plans, and ensuring patients' comfort and safety.
