Job Description

  • Evaluate patients with gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms (e.g., abdominal pain, reflux, bloating, rectal bleeding)

  • Take medical histories, perform physical exams, and order diagnostic tests

  • Interpret results from lab tests, endoscopy, colonoscopy, and imaging studies

  • Prescribe medications for conditions like IBD (Crohn’s/Ulcerative Colitis), GERD, peptic ulcers, IBS

  • Recommend lifestyle changes or surgery referrals when necessary

  • Develop and maintain ongoing treatment plans for chronic GI disorders

  • Provide colon cancer screening and surveillance

  • Monitor chronic conditions (e.g., hepatitis, fatty liver disease)

Job Skills

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree
  • MD (Internal Medicine) followed by DM/DNB in Gastroenterology (or equivalent in your country)
  • Must be licensed to practice medicine and perform GI procedures in the respective country
