Fixed Asset Officer

Job Description

• Maintain a comprehensive inventory of fixed assets within the hospital, including medical equipment, machinery, furniture, and other capital assets.
• Conduct regular audits to verify the existence and condition of fixed assets.
• Track the acquisition, disposal, and movement of assets, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
• Calculate and record depreciation for fixed assets in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate valuation of fixed assets on the hospital's balance sheet.
• Maintain organized and complete documentation for all fixed assets, including purchase orders, invoices, and warranty information.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies related to fixed asset management in the healthcare industry.
• Generate regular reports on the status of fixed assets, including their value, location, and condition.
• Provide financial reports and analysis related to fixed assets for management and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather information on asset usage, maintenance schedules, and upcoming acquisitions.
• Work closely with procurement and finance teams to ensure accurate recording of asset-related transactions.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule preventive maintenance for critical assets.
• Monitor the condition of assets and initiate repairs or replacements as necessary to ensure optimal functionality.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets related to fixed assets, providing insights into potential capital expenditures.
• Support forecasting activities by providing data on the expected lifespan and replacement costs of assets.
