Job Description

• Responsible for providing comprehensive clinical consultant level patient care in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Responsible for assessment and reassessment of patients.
• Cares for and treats women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.
• Responsible for counselling, explain and manage patient with fetal problems
• Provide information, option, consult for screening for chromosomal structure fetal anomalies
• Care for mothers diagnosis with fetal problems and appropriate refer to tertiary center if needed.
• Provides surgical care in the Operating Room and in the Out Patient Department pertaining to gynecologic and obstetric conditions for both emergency and planned procedures.
• Provides out-patient care in Clinics, as assigned by the Head of Department (HOD).
• Performs and interprets ultrasound examinations on an out-patient and in-patient basis.
• Interprets fetal heart rate monitor and takes action accordingly.
• Carries out formal and informal consultations from physicians from other departments.
• Interacts with patients' families, keeping them informed of the patient's condition, changes in condition and plans.
