Cath Lab Technician

Job Description

• Prepare the cath lab for procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile and ready.
• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures by operating imaging and monitoring equipment.
• Monitor and record patient vitals and hemodynamic data during procedures.
• Operate fluoroscopy, X-ray machines, and other specialized cath lab equipment.
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques.
• Prepare and position the patient appropriately for procedures.
• Assist with vascular access and the administration of contrast media (under supervision).
• Document procedural details accurately in patient records.
• Perform post-procedure equipment cleaning, restocking, and maintenance checks.
• Participate in emergency response protocols such as Code Blue during procedures.
• Adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols.
• Support the team during on-call shifts, including nights and weekends if applicable.
